On 26th April 2023, LEO Academy Trust were delighted for our Director of Computing and Digital Skills, Cheryl Shirley, to join a roundtable with Minister Coutinho and officials from the Department for Education to discuss assistive technology in education.

The aim of this session was to discuss some of the barriers and challenges to assistive technology use in education with experts from education and academia as well as suppliers and regulators.

It was a very interesting discussion, with some thought-provoking points raised throughout the session which will be fed back to policy makers at the DfE. LEO Academy Trust are proud to share our work within this area, and are excited to continue growing and sharing!
