In what is a highlight of collaboration within the LEO Academy Trust family, we are proud to announce that three of our schools: Cheam Fields Primary Academy, Cheam Common Junior Academy, and Manor Park Primary Academy, have been named among the Top 500 state primary schools in the UK by The Times’ Parent Power guide. Published since 1993, The Times’ Parent Power rankings of schools has been put together based on how primary schools rank on their average scores in English, grammar and math.

Cheam Fields Primary Academy, led by Principal Miss H Shaw, is 51st on the Parent Power ranking nationally and is the top school in Sutton in the UK Government’s primary school rankings. In Sutton, five of the top ten schools are part of the LEO Academy Trust, demonstrating the successful impact of our pedagogical technology approach to education.

Cheam Common Junior Academy, led by Principal Miss S Gunner, is ranked 171st in the country on The Times’ Top 500 primary schools list. This school has been on an incredible journey of growth since joining LEO Academy Trust in 2016. Within a few years, it was already in the top 3% of all schools nationally for progress at KS2 and by 2019, 86% of pupils reached the expected standard in reading, writing and math combined, with 30% at greater depth. We are proud of its continued growth.

Manor Park Primary Academy, led by Principal Miss N Williamson, has been part of LEO Academy Trust since 2018 and is ranked as the 174th best primary school in the country. Within a year of joining the Trust, 85% of children reached the expected standard in reading, writing and math combined, with 22% at greater depth and equally impressive progress scores.

"I'm incredibly proud of all nine LEO Academy Trust schools for their unwavering commitment to student achievement. A special congratulations to Cheam Fields Primary Academy, not only securing the highest position in Sutton but also reaching an impressive 51st place nationally in the prestigious Sunday Times Parent Power Schools ranking! This is a remarkable accomplishment that showcases the dedication of the entire Cheam Fields community. Furthermore, with Cheam Common Junior and Manor Park Primary also securing spots within the top 500 nationally, this is a testament to the exceptional standard of education delivered across the LEO Academy Trust. We are all thrilled for our students, staff, and families, and we look forward to their continued success." Phillip  Hedger CEO
